Out in the hills...

After the hustle and bustle of Rome, we escaped into the hills to the small village of Zagaralo. 

We stayed at the wonderful Wiki Colive Hostel, which was a welcome change of pace to the rest of the trip, and allowed us both to really reset and unwind! We got the chance to spend time with the 28 cats, 2 dogs, 4 goats, and 2 donkeys, spending time with them throughout the day and assisting with feeding the donkeys! 

It was a wonderful break from the otherwise very Race Across the World -esque pace of the rest of the trip.

We also went for a potter in the village itself, and saw a spectacular sunset!
