The land of Dracula

We arrived just after 9am on our wonderful sleeper train! After securing our onward travel - the most Race Across the World sentence ever uttered - we hopped on the bus over into the old town.

In our little pootle around, we saw the main sites of Brasov in about an hour - brilliantly efficient!

After checking into our Airbnb, I headed out for a nice run around Brasov. A wonderfully small little town, with a high street very reminiscent of a small UK town.

We then took full advantage of a kitchen, and cooked our evening meal!

The next day, we headed up onto the Tampa hill, a major nature reserve for the town. It was a fun hours walk up to the top, however we were a little nervous of being mauled to death by bears, particularly after recieving this alert halfway up!

Having made it to the top unscathed, we had a fab view over Brasov and the hills and mountains that surround it.

We even managed to peek through the letters of the Hollywood-esque sign!

After lunch, we spent some time relaxing in a lovely coffee shop just around the corner from our flat - ideal for catching up with our books!

Overall, a really lovely day in Brasov.
